I believe Donald Trump is able to bring a more balanced view towards China. He had a working relationship with Xi and China was not rattling sabres over Taiwan and every country on the South China Sea.
Both sides understood there was a boundary in political pressure that must not be crossed.
Walz would have influence but still be a VP representing a President Harris China policy.
Fair points Joe in terms of his first term but given his pledge to raise tariffs on China to 60%, I don’t suspect that advantage will carry forward if he gets a second term.
Walz's approach seems even-handed compared to many of the noisy zealots who often dominate the US's China discourse.
